Abdhish R. Bhavsar, MD. Specializes in surgical and diseases of the retina and vitreous. Dr. Bhavsar graduated from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire and attended medical school at Wayne State University. He completed his internal medicine internship at Duke University. He was awarded a Heed Fellowship after completing his ophthalmology residency at the University of Illinois. Dr. Bhavsar completed his retina fellowship training at Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA in Los Angeles.
Dr. Bhavsar is an Adjunct Assistant professor at the University of Minnesota and active in resident teaching. He is also a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists and is past President of Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology and past Chair of the Phillips Eye Institute Department of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Bhavsar has received the Senior Honor Award of the American Society of Retina Specialists and the Secretariat Award of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Bhavsar is currently practicing at Retina Center of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Maplewood, Mankato, and Anoka Minnesota, where he sees adults and children.
