About The Provider
Dr. Aimee Sznewajs is the System Medical Director of the Department of Pediatric Hospital Medicine and Acute Care at Children's Minnesota. Dr. Sznewajs started her career in healthcare as a pediatric nurse and nurse practitioner. She completed medical school, pediatric residency, and chief residency at the University of California, San Francisco. After training, she became the Medical Director of Stanford Children's Pediatric Hospital Medicine at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) in San Francisco. She also served as the Dartmouth Medical School Site Lead and the Stanford Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship Site lead at CPMC. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Section on Hospital Medicine, holding annual national conference leadership roles most recently as 2022. Dr. Sznewajs' is passionate about professional and leadership development, especially as it relates to designing programs to ensure that hospitalists and all healthcare team members meet their professional development goals. At Children's Minnesota, she has served two terms in the Professional Executive Council as Treasurer/Secretary from 2020 through 2024. In this capacity, she led the development of the PEC Funds, an annual funding opportunity for the professional staff to complete projects aligned with the mission and vision of Children's Minnesota. In collaboration with other members of Children's Minnesota, she played a lead role in founding the annual Women and Nonbinary Leadership Retreat.
