Albert is a pediatric neurosurgeon. He attended medical school in Canada at the University of British Columbia. He also completed his neurosurgery residency there. While there, he developed an interest in complex spinal cord malformations and their management as well as in tumors of the brain and spine. He went on to further his training at Children's Hospital Los Angeles where he developed expertise in management of spinal dysraphism, slow growing tumors and epilepsy tumors, epilepsy, endoscopic approaches to the brain and quality of life improvement.
