Dr. Amy Bruzek is a pediatric neurosurgeon at Children's Minnesota, both in Minneapolis and St. Paul. She trained with expert pediatric neurosurgeons in residency at the University of Michigan and in pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at St. Louis Children's Hospital/Washington University. She has broad interest in pediatric neurosurgery, including brain and spinal cord tumors, hydrocephalus, epilepsy, trauma, ventriculoscopic surgery, chiari malformations, and cerebral vascular surgery. She has special interest in brachial plexus/peripheral nerve, selective dorsal rhizotomies for spastic cerebral palsy, spinal dysraphism, and craniofacial surgery (both open and minimally invasive approaches).
Dr. Bruzek has published numerous peer-reviewed articles within the field of pediatric neurosurgery, and is passionate about providing her patients with outstanding, evidence-based care.
Dr. Bruzek was born and raised in Minnesota, and is elated to care for the children of her home state. She loves all seasons of Minnesota including winter, playing and watching ice hockey, spending time outdoors, spending time with immediate and extended family, and going to her parents' cabin in northern Minnesota.
She is honored to join the outstanding team of Children's Minnesota Pediatric Neurosurgery.
