Austin Rondou, DNP, APRN, CPNP-AC, is a nurse practitioner in the Cancer and Blood Disorders Program at Children's Minnesota. Austin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Studies at the University of Minnesota before earning a Master of Science in Nursing at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI and later, a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Rush University in Chicago, IL. He holds certifications in clinical nurse leadership and critical care nursing. Austin practiced as a clinical nurse in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) at Children's Minnesota for five years prior to transitioning into his current role. Austin's cumulative experiences have informed his clinical interests which include general pediatric oncology, solid tumors, the use of biotherapy to treat pediatric cancers, and translational science as it applies to the clinical use of novel therapies in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Additional interests include health equity, quality and patient safety, and organization and system leadership.
