About Bonnie Carlson-Green

About The Provider

Bonnie Carlson-Green, PhD, LP (she/her) earned a PhD in clinical child and family psychology from Georgia State University, where she focused on developmental neuropsychology and worked on a neuropsychology grant with Dr. Robin Morris that followed children with brain tumors over time. She completed an internship at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, followed by a two-year fellowship in neuropsychology at the University of Minnesota Medical School. She worked at the University of Minnesota as a staff pediatric neuropsychologist until joining Children’s Minnesota in 1996. Dr. Carlson-Green’s primary interests are in the areas of childhood cancer, neurodevelopmental disorders, transition planning (for life after high school) and evaluation of neuropsychological outcomes in children with genetic and medical disorders. Dr. Carlson-Green collaborates with St Jude Children’s Research Hospital on many research studies (including working memory functioning) as well as with the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation and Gilda’s Club to improve outcomes for pediatric cancer survivors. She also is part of the CREATE team with Children’s Rehab to train OT, PT and speech providers to work effectively with pediatric cancer patients and has trained numerous psychology interns and post-doctoral fellows over the course of her career.
