Bruce Bostrom, MD, was a member of the third class at Mayo medical school. He completed his pediatric residency at Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio and fellowship in pediatric hematology, oncology, bone marrow transplantation, and clinical pharmacology at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Bostrom joined the hematology/oncology program at Children's Minnesota in 1988.
His areas of expertise are the treatment of leukemia and lymphoma in children and young adults. His special interest is in the use of novel agents for the treatment of Hodgkin lymphoma and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.. He also is recognized as an expert in treating of mast cell disorders including mast cell activation syndrome
In his spare time he does Scandinavian folk-dancing, plays the Swedish nyckelharpa and does cross-country ski marathons.
