The nurse that we saw at check in was very patient with my child which is important as he has selective mutism. When his blood pressure came back high, she had him lay down and took her time until a more normal reading was recorded. When we went for the ultrasound, the tech let my child feel the temp of the gel and asked him if it was okay. This was big because not only did my child ask he said yes when the tech asked if they could proceed. The dr. has arranged to get the heart monitor results before we are seen in clinic so he already has all the info he needs. He doesn't keep my child long and doesn't get offended when my child can't communicate. We have seen this provider for the last 3 years and it's always a joy (as much as going to the heart dr can be). He also answered my questions and talked to us about what long term care looks like. Children's is lucky to have a department this good!!!

Dr Beissel was very kind, calm, and helped us feel at ease right away. He built rapport instantly by connecting with our child and making us laugh. He explained her diagnosis thoroughly but in a way that was simple and easy to understand, and put us at ease with his assessment of her condition and what to expect in the future. Very thankful for Dr Beissel!

We felt dismissed. He didn't ask many questions about her symptoms. She only has symptoms when she exercises, her Pulmonologist requested a cardiopulmonary exercise test- but he refused. I tried to bring things up, but he didn't listen.

Very efficient services and providers. We never waited longer than 10 minutes for anything. We got checked in, roomed, and the visit started quickly. Brandon, the sonographer, was also fabulous and did a great job.

Dr. Biessel is conscientious and talks directly to my 16 year old about what is going on. He also includes me.

All staff from the moment we entered the office were kind and caring. The young lady that was doing the cardiogram photos was super sweet and great with my son. The doctor was very knowledgeable and he shared his story regarding his challenges with his heart.

Everyone is warm and caring from the minute you walk in. We felt very well taken care of by the front desk, our tech, our doctor, etc. Our doctor was so kind, explained our results and despite us not needing a follow up said he was always here for us. Children's is such a special place.
