Dr. Smith-Wright was the Director of Pediatrics at Twin Cities, Shriner's Hospital. She is a member of Courtesy Staff at Children's Minnesota. She was on staff at the University of Minnesota, Masonic Children's Hospital and was actively involved in teaching. She was a pediatrician and a hospitalist at Shriner's Hospital. Dr. Smith Wright attended the University of Kansas Medical School. She completed her pediatric residency and fellowship at the University of Minnesota. Her areas of interest include pediatric orthopedics, Rickets, medically complex, and special needs patients. She has been actively involved in teaching medical students, orthopedic and pediatric residents, and allied health students. She was for 24 years the director of the Shriner's PALS program. She initiated a pre-operative assessment program and obesity management programs at Shriner's Hospitals. he has served on numerous hospital and national Shriner's committees. For 24 years she was the chairmen of the local Twin Cities and National Shriner's Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. She has served on the Minnesota AAP board and has been named a MPLS/St Paul Top Doc.
