Emily Block PA-C spent her childhood in rural Iowa before completing her undergraduate at Buena Vista University. Upon graduation, she worked as a neonatal patient care tech at the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital, sparking her interest in the field of neonatology and inspiring her to obtain her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA. After graduating from PA school, she moved to New York City, spending time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units at NYU Langone Hospital and Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan. Her clinical interests include therapeutic hypothermia and developmental care of extremely preterm infants. She is passionate about educating families to help them navigate the decision making process during their NICU stays. Outside of the NICU, she enjoys running, reading, and exploring new places near and far.
