Kate Koehn, PhD, LP (she/her) earned a PhD in clinical psychology from Kent State University. She completed a doctoral internship in clinical child psychology at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. Following internship, she completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in medical psychology at the Mayo Clinic, with extensive training in clinical child and pediatric psychology. Dr. Koehn joined the professional staff at Children’s Minnesota in 2019, with primary responsibilities including leading the pediatric inpatient general psychology consultation-liaison service, conducting outpatient assessment and treatment through the Feeding Clinic, and providing outpatient therapy. Dr. Koehn's primary clinical interests include helping children and adolescents with coping/adjustment to acute and chronic illness, feeding difficulties, and mood and anxiety disorders. She also trains and supervises post-doctoral fellows working with patients on the pediatric inpatient psychology consultation-liaison service.

I was nervous meeting with a team of medical professionals, but I felt heard. I also admired how caring and patient they were with my son who has a speech delay, but everyone spoke to him and waiting for him to answer.
