Katelyn Paige Vawter, DNP, APRN, CNP

Katelyn Vawter, DNP, NNP-BC, joined the staff at Children’s Minnesota in November of 2024. She has been practicing as a bedside Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse for 8+ years. She earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center with a specialty in Neonatology in May 2024. Katelyn has extensive experience with children. Besides her time as a NICU nurse, she also has a master’s degree in teaching and worked with children from six weeks old to first grade for five years before becoming an RN.
Katelyn loves creative endeavors in her free time. She is continually learning new things like quilting, knitting, refinishing furniture, etc. She is also an avid reader and enjoys many book genres. Her favorite books include A Ring of Endless Light by Madeline L’Engle, the Harry Potter Series, which brings back wonderful memories from her childhood, Lessons in Chemistry, and Pride and Prejudice.
