Katie Kruse, MD was born and raised in Michigan where she completed both her undergraduate and medical school degrees from Michigan State University (MSU). From there she did her pediatric residency through MSU at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. She then moved to California where she completed her critical care training at Stanford, with further fellowship training in clinical ethics at the Stanford Center for Biomedical Ethics. Research interest include communication and decision-making at the end of life for pediatric patients. Her areas of interest include ECMO, sepsis, palliative care, and ethical consideration in pediatrics.
