Dr. Willson began practicing at the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute's Radiation Oncology Center at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in 2008. Dr. Willson received her undergraduate degree from Macalester College and her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 2003. Dr. Willson completed a transitional year internship at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine. She returned to the University of Minnesota to complete her residency in the Department of Radiation Oncology where she was chief resident from 2007-2008.

Dr. Willson has interest and is experienced in SABR-stereotactic ablative radiotherapy, prostate cancer external beam and seed brachytherapy, gynecologic cancer external beam and high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR), breast cancer, respiratory gating, radiosurgery, central nervous system tumors, gastrointestinal cancer, lymphoma, lung cancer, Selective Internal Radiation Therapy (SIRT) and TheraSpheres radioembolization for liver lesions.
