Laurie obtained her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She completed her internship and post-doctoral experience at Groves Learning Organization specializing in psychoeducational evaluations and leading their Psychoeducational Assessments for All (PAA) program that provided complimentary psychoeducational evaluations to families in the community who may not be able to access them. Her areas of interest and specialization include learning disabilities, attention disorders, trauma-informed care, anxiety/depression, and educational law, along with topics of equity, accessibility, training and mentorship, relationships, and educational policy reform. Laurie enjoys running, hiking, playing and watching soccer, baking, and spending time with her husband, daughter, son, and two Persian cats.
