Currently I have been a partner at Lakeview Clinic Ltd for 23 years. I practice general pediatrics and see children from birth through college. My special interests include asthma, children with complex health care needs and former NICU graduates. I have been in practice for 33 years and completed my medical school training at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and, my residency at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center respectively. I have worked in the Chicago metro area, in the National Health Service of the UK in London while living abroad, and in the Minneapolis western suburbs.
I love teaching and participate in teaching medical students from the University of Minnesota and other regional medical schools. I also mentor high school and college students interested in careers in medicine. I have taught a seminar course on the art of telling bad news sensitively and developing wellness strategies to pediatric residents at Johns Hopkins for 30 years. I also provide medical care at a girls home and school in Kenya annually.
I have been married for over forty years and my husband and I have three grown daughters who are all wonderfully different. The oldest is an ER physician, the middle is an international elementary teacher living in Cairo, and the third is an archaeologist.
My personal hobbies are photography, calligraphy, horse back riding, traveling, food and enjoying a great glass of wine with friends and family.
