Neil Charles Tarek Zaki, MD

Dr. Zaki graduated from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA with a BA in Anthropology and a BS in Biology. He attended Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. He completed his pediatric residency at Emory in Atlanta, GA before going to Nashville, TN where he completed his fellowships in both pediatric cardiology and pediatric critical care at Monroe Carell Jr Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. Dr. Zaki also obtained his Masters of Clinical Investigation at Vanderbilt while studying predictors of low cardiac output after cardiopulmonary bypass. His interests include caring for children with congenital heart disease, medical education, treatment and prevention of ICU-related delirium, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and other heart assist devices.
