Dr. Rackley specializes in the care of children and teens with complex conditions that affect both the mind and the body. She works closely with a child's health care team to optimize both physical and emotional functioning when chronic illness, injuries, or acute stressors are impacting mental health, or when mental health challenges or developmental differences impact a child's ability to cope or work with their medical treatment team. She has advanced training in both biomedical interventions and in psychotherapy, so that she can work with a patient and their family to create a comprehensive plan to get a kid back on track and growing again.
Dr. Rackley also has expertise in medical education, including a Master's in Education with a focus on medical education leadership. She has served in leadership roles for physician training programs for 15 years. She has a particular focus on physician and student well-being, suicide prevention, and crisis intervention.
