Stephanie Marie Ahrens, DO

Dr. Ahrens attended St. Olaf College and then received her medical degree from Des Moines University College of Medicine. She completed pediatric neurology residency, clinical neurophysiology and epilepsy surgery fellowships at Nationwide Children’s Hospital/The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where she then started her career prior to moving back home to Minnesota.

Dr. Ahrens’ clinical areas of expertise and research interests include epilepsy surgery and intractable epilepsy management. She is well published in epilepsy surgery and epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU) practice in the US, including authorship on the recent National Association of Epilepsy Centers Guidelines for Specialized Epilepsy Centers Panel, published in Neurology.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Ahrens stays busy keeping up with her three kids and aussiedoodle, Pepin. She also enjoys cooking with her husband and exploring the great MN outdoors.
