About Tami Jeanne Hinz

About The Provider

Dr. Hinz joined Partners in Pediatrics in 2002. A native Midwesterner, Dr. Hinz grew up in Wisconsin, obtained her undergraduate degree at Northwestern University and went to medical school at the University of Wisconsin. Following her residency in pediatrics at Tulane university she worked in the New Orleans community as a pediatrician for more than 20 years. She and her husband chose to return to Minnesota to support their parents as they age. When she is not in the clinic she loves to be outside in all of Minnesota's glorious weather. From swimming in open lakes in the summer, hiking and running in the fall, snow-shoeing and cross-country skiing in the winter and tapping maple trees in the spring, she truly is grateful for the richness of this region. She loves being a pediatrician, partnering with parents, siblings and the extended families of children as we all grow and hopefully thrive in all that life brings.

She did a really good job and she listened to what we were saying was wrong with my daughter. She did a good job communicating back when her test results.

I had to come in and get some antibiotics and all the nurses were very nice and very helpful. The woman at the front desk was very helpful. I did not schedule an appointment. I just walked in and she was very nice. And then the doctor that saw me, she had white short hair. I think her name was Tammy, her first name. She was very helpful to me. She also recommended me to get my COVID booster and flu shot and I did that and I think she called me super smart for doing that and that was funny. She was just very, very helpful, very kind.

Met the provider the day before with other child, but she didn't seem to recognize me at all and reintroduced herself. Didn't have referrals or resources on nutrition I was looking for. I miss our old clinics AVS- she would pack it with lots of good parenting tips for the age they were

She was very gentle and communicative with my child and she put her at ease. She talked to her and asked her questions & follow up questions that felt like she was genuinely interested in what my child had to say, not just to be nice.
