Tara Gail Zamora, MD

Tara is a neonatologist and the medical director at Children's Minnesota in Minneapolis. She attended medical school at the University of New Mexico before moving to Minnesota to complete her pediatric residency and perinatal-neonatal medicine fellowship at the University of Minnesota. She has previously worked at the St. Paul campus, and also spent several years in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the University of New Mexico. Her areas of interest include caring for the extremely preterm infant, blood transfusion practices and neonatal nutrition. She has been involved in basic translational research and teaching medical students, residents and fellows. Tara and her husband Felix have two children, Santiago and Selena, and a dog named Gofer. They love to try new food, and they enjoy outdoor activities.
