Thomas Novacheck, MD

Tom Novacheck, M.D., is a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in treating cerebral palsy, scoliosis or other complex orthopaedic conditions in children and adolescents. He is also Associate Medical Director of Gillette's James R Gage Center for Gait and Motion Analysis.

Dr. Novacheck has based his practice at Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare since 1991. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Medical School, completed his orthopaedic residency at Pennsylvania State University, and finally his pediatric orthopaedic fellowship at Newington Children's Hospital in Newington, Connecticut.

Dr. Novacheck's professional associations include the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine, Gait and Clinical Movement Analysis Society, Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, American Orthopaedic Association, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Novacheck's research and education activities for residents, fellows, and health care professionals have focused primarily on outcomes studies of management of gait disorders in individuals with cerebral palsy, development of motion analysis testing methods, and the biomechanics of running.

Dr. Novacheck enjoys distance running, backpacking, and cross country skiing. He is a part time tree farmer and grape grower.
