About Wade Mitchell Larson

About The Provider

Dr. Larson completed medical school and residency at the University of Minnesota. His initial practice was in the US Air Force caring for children of service members. His two children Noah and Liv continue to inspire him! He enjoys the outdoors, travel and running. He has completed nine marathons, and finds many parallels between distance running and parenting: "It's usually exhausting, it hurts much of the time, but at the end of the day it's totally worth it.

This provider has a hard time breaking things down for kids to understand. He talks very fast and doesn't really explain things to kids in a way that they would absorb and learn it. He also comes in very abruptly. He eventually does warm up, but it's very bedside manner could be improved.

I felt like I was trying to convey my frustration for what happened and give reasonable feedback. The provider just said "that's the way it is". It felt dismissive of the problem and I would rather work with Children's to help ensure great patient care than feel like something is wrong with the system.
