About Walter Huu Truong

About The Provider

Walter Truong, MD. attended medical school at Ohio State University before completing his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Minnesota. He spent his fellowship year at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto where he obtained a Certificate from the University of Toronto in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery. Walter enjoys returning children to optimal health and function after orthopaedic trauma and is also well trained in many aspects of pediatric orthopaedics with special interest in scoliosis, cerebral palsy and various hip pathologies. Walter is married and has a young son and daughter. When he is not working or with his family, you can find him either on the basketball court or softball field.

      Dr. Walter Throng & his team are always amazing. They are very helpful, knowledgeable and caring. My son is very shy, but they always make him feel comfortable & safe. Dr. Throng is very professional, always so friendly and very supportive in my son's recovery. He is truly a wonderful Dr. I trust his judgment and guidance.

      My daughter broke her arm at the beginning of June, and every experience that we have had with the Children's Hospital, whether it was the clinic or our stay overnight, it has been wonderful. Every single staff member from the person transporting her bed from room to room, to the people checking her in, to the nurses, to the doctors, every single person has been exceptional and has gone above and beyond to make sure that she was comfortable, that she was happy, that she had age appropriate activities to make her feel ... to make her feel good. I just ... it was an exceptional experience and I'm really thankful for you guys.
